Docents are available for group tours and they are period costumed volunteers who not only provide information about the buildings and their furnishings, but demonstrate numerous skills and crafts necessary for the pioneer way of life
Paranormal Investigators are welcome either for an after hour tour or overnight stay. Tour Admission $5 per person or Overnight Stay $25 per person. Please call The Village for more information and to book a tour or overnight stay.
School Tours of The Village
School tours are welcome and encouraged at The Pioneer Village. You will step back in time to see and feel how the early pioneers lived and worked in this diverse land. When you take the self-guided, walking-tour through The Village, you discover a world devoid of paved streets, electricity, or running water that our ancestors once inhabited.
Our “Classroom Without Walls” provides an enriching educational encounter by showing you the dwellings, tools, and everyday implements used by Texas’ early residents. Educators and students alike will find our Village an invaluable learning experience that will make them want to return again and again. Contact us today to schedule your class trip.
